How Can Intuitive Eating Help Me?

Research on Intuitive Eating (IE) is expanding. Small, short-term controlled trials and cross-sectional studies employing IE principles consistently demonstrate psychological benefits, including reduced depression and anxiety, as well as increased body satisfaction, self-acceptance, and quality of life [1,2] IE interventions have also been associated with a decrease in behaviors like binge eating and restrained eating or dieting. A few studies have shown improvements in blood pressure and cholesterol levels [3], and the evidence underscores the positive impact of IE on overall well-being. To learn more, check out the growing number of studies published on IE featured on the official Intuitive Eating website.
